Milwaukee's best.

The last few weeks have involved miniature trips to Minnesota and Wisconsin, but the night in Milwaukee was one of the best in the whole bunch. Riverside dinners, tiny tiki bars, covered markets, a perfect diner, and a gorgeous hotel smack in the middle of downtown. Actually, any kind of evening would been fun with this group, I love them dearly.

Oh deer.

We turned a corner and ran into the Golden Hind, the ship Sir Francis Drake used to circumnavigate the globe! Or, I'll begrudgingly admit, a very precise replica. We also found a shop that covers all pressing needs, and I stared a very dramatic skyline and Big Ben (for human interest).

Day at the Museum.

We spent a very rainy day tucked inside of the massive British Museum. It almost gives the impression that it's an exaggerated idea of a museum, as it's the kind of place that has over 8 million artifacts and everything that you could imagine, including the Rosetta Stone. It includes the spectacular Reading Room, which has since been turned into space for special exhibits -- the current show features artifacts from Pompeii and Herculaneum. If only my 5 year old volcano obsessed self knew she'd get to see them!
I hate to say it, but my favorite part of the museum might have been the tea that I had with my parents. It revives you!
