Storming the castle.

We were killing time on our first day in Scotland and just decided to casually stroll along the Royal Mile; when we came to the end, we were confronted by an enormous castle. Not just any castle! A castle built on top of a volcano, or at least a volcanic plug. Sweet. There has been a castle there, in one form or another, since the 12th century. You have this history nerd's attention, castle.
